Early Life and Education

Amira Sajwani grew up in Dubai in a family closely tied to real estate. She is the daughter of Hussain Sajwani, the founder and chairman of DAMAC Properties. From her early years, she saw how her father built a business that became one of the largest property developers in the region. Those years shaped her confidence and gave her a clear sense of how ambition and persistence can create lasting impact.

She studied Project Management for Construction at University College London. After that, she completed a master’s degree in Finance at London School of Economics and Political Science. Her education gave her a strong mix of technical and financial knowledge, preparing her to work in one of Dubai’s most competitive industries.

Career at DAMAC

After university, Amira joined DAMAC Properties. She now serves as Managing Director of Sales and Development. In this role, she oversees strategy, market expansion, and customer engagement. She leads teams that manage large-scale developments, ensuring every project meets both quality and brand standards.

Under her leadership, DAMAC strengthened its international network, attracting investors from around the world to Dubai. Her work focuses on combining operational precision with strong market understanding. She has also played an active role in shaping how the company communicates its vision to a new generation of buyers.

Launching PRYPCO

In 2023, Amira founded PRYPCO, a property technology company designed to make buying and financing homes more straightforward. She saw how many buyers faced slow and complicated processes when trying to secure financing or navigate deals. Her goal was to build a single platform that brings together mortgage approvals, property listings, and investment opportunities.

PRYPCO quickly grew by offering fast mortgage approvals and transparent financial options. A key part of the platform is PRYPCO Blocks, which uses blockchain to let people invest smaller amounts in Dubai’s real estate. This opened new doors for both local and global investors. PRYPCO also provides end-to-end support for property transactions and helps qualified buyers with UAE residency programs such as the Golden Visa.

The Vision Behind Amali Properties

That same year, Amira and her brother Ali Sajwani co-founded Amali Properties. The company focuses on luxury projects that offer tailored living experiences. Its flagship project, Amali Island, sits on two islands within The World Islands in Dubai.

Amali Island includes a collection of beachfront villas designed with private spaces, high-end finishes, and world-class amenities. The development reflects Dubai’s growing status as a global destination for premium real estate investment. It also highlights Amira’s ability to blend heritage with new market expectations.

Recognition and Influence

Amira’s work has earned her recognition both in the UAE and internationally. In 2023, she was included in Forbes Middle East’s “Top 100 Most Powerful Businesswomen.” That same year, she received the Best Fintech Innovation award for PRYPCO’s approach to digital real estate investment.

She was also named a Young Global Leader by World Economic Forum. In 2025, Arabian Business ranked her 18th among the most influential Arabs for driving change through technology in real estate.

Supporting Entrepreneurs and Giving Back

Beyond her companies, Amira contributes actively to the Hussain Sajwani – DAMAC Foundation, which supports education and youth empowerment. She often speaks about the role of education and resilience in building lasting careers.

She also invests in emerging businesses through various platforms. As a judge on Shark Tank Dubai, she looks for startups that show strong leadership and sustainable growth potential. Her approach combines strategic vision with practical support for new entrepreneurs.

Family and Personal Drive

Family remains central to Amira’s life. She credits her father’s work ethic and determination as key influences on her path. Balancing leadership roles with motherhood, she passes these values on to her children, encouraging them to be bold and curious.

Her leadership style emphasizes clarity, accountability, and forward thinking. She often says that adapting to change and learning quickly are essential traits for anyone building something meaningful in today’s world.

Looking Forward

Amira continues to focus on expanding PRYPCO and Amali Properties beyond Dubai. Her goal is to make real estate investment more transparent and accessible through technology. She also sees strong potential in expanding Dubai’s role as a global investment destination.

Her journey reflects both legacy and innovation. By combining family values with modern business strategies, Amira is shaping a future where property ownership is simpler, more inclusive, and built for the long term.
